Lovely colours and a delight to use

Today I tested the Fuumuui Hot Pressed Watercolour paper block 9x12 inches.
I usually use Not or Rough watercolour paper, so I was really interested to see how the paper suits my style of painting.
Two things I noticed immediately was the block comes with Protective corners and the Words "open" are printed inside so you know where to separate the sheets from the block.

I did my usual method of testing paper and that is to grab the paints and doodle across the page, painting happy little mountains. It handled washes, blending and fine lines without any problems, the bonus was how the paint dries on the paper, it created a lovely fine granulation which I like very much. I cannot wait to do a painting on this paper.

I feel this paper and the pad size are excellent, and definitely worth trying a pad if you are looking for a quality affordable paper.

Hoping larger sized pad will be available in the future

I liked them but would have appreciated a little advice on how to use them and keep them in good condition.

The pigment is strong but easy to work with the water. The colors played beautiful to do flowers and different face shades.

I think that the colors and the paint quality is exceptional. To be honest, I always mix my colors but in this case, I find the finished color choices in the palette are so perfect that I want to use them straight from the paint pots!

Tolle Farben. Mir macht es sehr viel Spaß damit zu malen. Ist mal etwas anderes als mit transparenten Aquarellfarben. Man kann damit super schöne Landschaften gestalten. Ich habe bereits 3 Sets. Das mit den Pastelltönen fehlt mir noch.

I bought this palette and a tripod for plein air painting at Lake Garda. I customized the palette a bit to suit my needs. First, I took two A4-sized plexiglass panels and glued flat magnets to them. This way, I could attach the panels to the lid of the palette and paint on larger sheets of paper. I also replaced the brass water cups with collapsible rubber ones to save space in my backpack. I’m very happy with my purchase.
