I'm finding this paint set quite useful. The paints are working well for me, and the palette is very portable. I like to take it along whenever I expect to have time to work on a small watercolor, so I need all my materials to fit easily into my purse (or even just my back pocket). This case is slim, has a convenient ring on the back to help me hold it comfortably, includes pans that are big enough to accept a normal brush, offers lots of mixing space, and even has an integrated sponge. The only thing it lacks is a way to store my waterbrush, but I just drop that in beside it.
But as an oil painter, I was surprised how easily I could create a soft gradient for a sky, a soft glow in an horizon. I knew I needed a set of the basic colors in gouache, but bought a set of tubes. These just underscored how much I love the Fuumuui pan paints for being so convenient. I’ll be ordering the basic colors from Fuumuui.
