As a professional artist, I am a bit addicted to buying art supplies. I am always looking for economical choices. Watercolor by its nature, is a difficult medium. Good paper and brushes are absolutely essential to a good result. This brush set ticks all the boxes. You can spend upwards of $100.00 on one good sable watercolor brush so to get three plus a case for under 1/4 of that price is a great deal. I have purchased several of the travel brush kits and use them to paint outside. Love them!
Love everything about these. Beautiful leather case. The brushes were well made and held water wonderfully! For someone like me that takes their paints with them every day, the best part is that they were easy to break down to be travel ready. The price for three was unbeatable! They're my new favorite!
The brushes are nicely sized. I'm a novice, but when I took a class from a respected artist, she reached in her bag and pulled out these very brushes as well.
I love that the handles can be taken apart, and they are hollow, so they can be used to protect the brush heads. When the handles are on the end of the brush, they are almost the same size as a full size watercolor brush, so they are a good size for painting with. I have bought several of these kits, and given them as gifts. Without exception, everyone that I have gifted them to is in love with them! I carry one in my purse along with a small paint kit that has 12 colors in it. They go with me where ever I go!
I love getting these brushes out and painting with them. The brush is protected by the hollow handle so you can take them traveling, and the handles are comfortable to hold. They deliver watercolors to the paper in a very controllable manner, making details easy and some wash work possible.
