I like these brushes,but I actually prefer using them with acrylics. They clearly work well with either acrylics or watercolor. What I like is that they are a time saver and great for travel. I bring watercolors when I travel, but I tried them first with acrylics. I do a lot of commission pet portraits where the fur is usually built up doing 7-8 layers of Individual brush strokes. The brush wth the different lengths is great for building up the first and second layer of fur quickly and saves me a lot of time because the base coats are done quickly and the subsequent layers don’t always need as many layers

I really love how soft the brushes are and they have a good weight to them. Great set to have if you're looking into starting painting. Would definitely recommend
